A prominent research scientist, Jocelyn Paré is a world leader in extraction technology. In 1989, he invented, initially on his own time, the Microwave-Assisted Process (MAPTM) family of technologies, using microwaves to enhance or accelerate biological, chemical or physical processes. The environmental benefits include reductions in both energy consumption and emission of greenhouse gases. Numerous successful industrial applications have resulted from Dr. Paré's outstanding scientific technologies, which are used worldwide, and for which Canada now holds patent rights around the world.
