Ms. Wilson played a pivotal role in managing and directing the unprecedented relief operation in aid of hundreds of thousands of Rwandan refugees. During 1993 and 1994, she was Head of Delegation of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in Tanzania. Her leadership, dedication and courage, as well as her considerable experience in international humanitarian operations, enabled the global community to meet one of its most daunting challenges ever.
