    Bruce and Janet McKelvey co-founded TRIP Canada, a humanitarian organization that assists the people of Tangalle, Sri Lanka, who were devastated by the 2004 tsunami. Along with teams of Canadian volunteers, the McKelveys have travelled to Sri Lanka every year, and have built a village for tsunami survivors, complete with 35 additional homes, a school, playgrounds and an orphanage. TRIP Canada has also sponsored education programs and provided university scholarships over the past 10 years.
