Daniel Roy, M.B.
Sainte-Claire, Quebec
On July 30, 2015, Daniel Roy rescued a boy from drowning off Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, U.S.A. A riptide had swept the victim, his father and his brother some 50 metres from shore. Mr. Roy swam out to the distressed boy and fought against the current to bring him back to shore. Other swimmers came to the aid of the young victim’s father and brother, who were safely returned to the boy’s side.
