As Bosk Lake in the afternoon of 28 July 1982, forty-year old Kristine Milanovic drowned saving the life of a seven-year-old boy. The occasion was a birthday party on the beach. The boy had been playing near the sandbar and had slipped into deep water. When alerted by his cries for help, Miss Milanovic came to the rescue. Seizing the child, she struggled to hold him above water, but she repeatedly went under. Another boy swam to their aid, bringing them to shore. Sadly, Mrs. Milanovic could not be revived.
