On July 27, 1991, Mr. Brundrett lost his life trying to save two skydivers in Wellesley Township, Waterloo County, Ontario. Shortly after exiting the aircraft to film the skydivers' descent, Mr. Brundrett realized the two jumpers' parachutes had become entangled. He immediately approached them and attempted to correct the situation. Having activated his own parachute, he was unsuccessful in his attempt to support his companions by holding on to their drogue chute bridle. Despite his courageous attempt, all three died in the accident.
