Barry wavy Or and Azure the distinguishing pennant of the Commander of a Canadian Fleet flying to the sinister from a flag staff proper;

Symbolism

The wavy background represents the sea and the colours blue and gold recall the coat of arms of British Columbia and the fleet’s home base there. The pennant of a Fleet Commander symbolizes the authority and leadership required to defend Canada’s Pacific coast.
