Badge of Marvin George RyderBlazonEncircled by a chain of six large links each joined to the next by three small links, a spur, rowel upward, Azure; SymbolismThe spur repeats the symbol of the arms. The chain is derived from the arms of the recently-amalgamated City of Hamilton, symbolizing the unity of the six joining communities. Mr. Ryder was Chairman of the Transition Board that oversaw the formation of the new city. |
