Blazon

Per fess Or and Azure a fess of two bands chequy of the field between in chief two cogwheels Azure and in base a maple leaf Or;

Symbolism

The blue and gold chequered fess is taken from the arms of the German town of Kreuznach, from where the Langkammerers originated. The maple leaf honours Canada, Mr. Langkammerer’s place of birth. The cog-wheels allude to his career as a machinist at the Esquimalt dockyard.

A demi bear Or holding in the paws a cogwheel and gorged with a collar dependant therefrom a cross bottony Azure;

Symbolism

The bear holding the bottony cross is a reference to Mr. Langkammerer’s German heritage and Roman Catholic faith, while the cog-wheel repeats a theme of the Arms.
