Arms of Thomas Philip Buckley

Blazon

Sable a base Or, a maple tree eradicated counterchanged;

Symbolism

The tree is representative of the Buckley family, its roots and its present and future generations. The section at the bottom, indicative of the earth from which the tree is growing, is used to make this coat of arms distinctive from other arms in which maple trees appear. The colours were selected by the Buckley family.

Crest

Blazon

A lion's head and a buck's head addorsed Or and gorged with a wreath of shamrocks and thistles proper;

Symbolism

The buck is a reference to the name Buckley. The lion refers to Mrs. Buckley's English heritage and to her surname. The shamrocks and thistles make a reference to the family's Irish and Scottish roots.

Motto

Blazon

PRO AMORE FAMILIAE;

Symbolism

This Latin phrase means "For the love of family". This re-enforces the theme of the armorial bearings.

Blazon

On a pellet a sprig of four maple leaves Or;

Symbolism

The badge uses the symbolism from the arms in a simpler way. The four maple leaves make a reference to Mr. and Mrs. Buckley's four children.
