Badge of the Medical Alumni Association of the University of TorontoBlazonEncircled by a wreath of oak leaves Vert fructed Or, a lozenge Or charged with a rod of Aesculapius Vert within a bordure quartely Gules and Azure; SymbolismThe badge combines several symbols found in the arms of the Medical Alumni Association. The rod of Aesculapius is a traditional symbol of medicine. The lozenge features the colours of the Faculty, red, blue and gold. A circle of oak leaves and acorns, taken from the crests of the University, the Faculty of Medicine and the Medical Alumni Association, completes the design. |
