Symbolism
The Canadian Heraldic Authority does not have confirmed symbolism for this emblem. The following comments are hypotheses only. Green and yellow are the college’s colours, referring to the natural setting of the campus. The chevron with the wavy blue and white stripes represents the bend in the Credit River next to which Erindale College (now the University of Toronto Mississauga) is located. The crenellated border alludes to the architecture of the main building of the campus.

The oak tree is the crest of the University of Toronto. The tower and waves represent the campus buildings rising above the Credit River.
