Per pale, dexter Or three bars wavy Azure each charged with a bar gemel wavy Argent, sinister Vert fourteen alder cones slipped Or, on a chief per pale Gules and Or an alder leaf slipped counterchanged;

Symbolism

The alder leaf and cones allude to the name Etobicoke, derived from the Mississauga word for “place where the alders grow.” The three sets of wavy blue stripes represent the bodies of water that border the municipality: Etobicoke Creek, the Humber River and Lake Ontario.
