Arms of Neal Sharad KushwahaBlazonPer fess dancetty of three points Azure and Argent a bar dancetty per fess dancetty Or and Gules, in chief semé of mullets of five points and mullets of nine points Argent, in base a sun in splendour Gules; SymbolismGold represents the agricultural riches of Saskatchewan, where Mr. Kushwaha spent a large part of his childhood. The saffron shade of red alludes to India, where his family is from, and of which he has many significant childhood memories. The dark blue portion represents the sky, an all-encompassing element that covers the entire globe, reflecting the international scope of his career. The stars illustrate his lifelong passion for mathematics and science. The zigzag line represents mountains and, by extension, Mr. Kushwaha’s love of mountaineering and sports in general. The sun refers to his surname, as his family claims descent from the mythical Suryavansh rulers (roughly translated as “Sun dynasty”). |

The lion is a reference to family heirlooms that Mr. Kushwaha remembers, while also alluding to his family’s history as warriors who used this symbol. |
MottoBlazonDISCE • अभ्यास • EXPLORE; SymbolismThese words in Latin, Sanskrit and English respectively mean “Learn, train, explore” and highlight some of the most important maxims in Mr. Kushwaha’s life. They reference his love of studying and learning new information, as well as his passion for intense sports and the discipline required to carry them out. For Mr. Kushwaha, these words also embody an endless process, since the more you learn, the more you need to train in order to explore and verify the new information, and the more you explore, the more you learn, and so on. |

The sword symbolizes the importance that Mr. Kushwaha places on the safeguarding of the State and of human life, as well as his career in national security issues, highlighting his speciality in international law. There are six primary rays of the sun, as six is defined as a perfect number in mathematics; they therefore represent Mr. Kushwaha’s love for mathematics and physics. |
