The following comments are hypotheses only. The tree and the acorns represent the Bronfman family laying roots in Canada. The oak variety might refer to the barrels used to age the whisky that the family produced. The wheat possibly alludes to the Prairies, where the family first settled in Canada. The four maple leaves likely symbolize Mr. Bronfman’s children. |
