Argent on a fess Sable seven piles reversed throughout Or between in chief two foxes’ masks proper and in base a cross-crosslet Sable;

Symbolism

The Canadian Heraldic Authority does not have confirmed symbolism for this emblem. The following comments are hypotheses only. The foxes, or “tods” in Scottish dialect, represent a pun on Mr. Todd’s name. The cross may allude to his grandfather the Reverend Hollis Davillo Todd, who was a minister of religion
