Franco-Nunavut FlagBlazonPer fess nowy Azure and Argent, a demi-hurt charged with an inuksuk set on a rock, growing therefrom to the dexter a dandelion proper; SymbolismThe blue symbolizes the Arctic sky and the white, the ever-present snow across the territory. The curved white line represents an igloo, beneath which is an inuksuk, symbolizing human presence. The dandelion reflects Canada’s and Nunavut’s Francophone community: standing strong, it adapts to its environment. This symbolism is based on a variety of publicly-available sources. |
