The yellow band represents the wheat that grows on these fertile lands, as well as the important role that agriculture has played in building Franco-Manitoban communities. The large white band evokes the wide plains dominating the Manitoban landscape. The plant, in the form of a stylized “F,” conveys a thriving and firmly rooted French-speaking community. This symbolism is based on a variety of publicly-available sources. |
