Symbolism
The lyre is taken from the primary badge of the Canadian Armed Forces Music Branch. The Royal Crown represents service to the Sovereign. Wings, the laurel wreath and the Royal Crown are common features of the trade and occupational badges of the Canadian Armed Forces.
