Blue is the colour of the 2nd Canadian Division. The open book represents training and the pursuit of knowledge. The crossed swords are a reference to the Canadian Army. The fleur-de-lis represents the province of Quebec, and its gold colour alludes to the maple leaf found on the flag of the 2nd Canadian Division. This badge follows the design of the badge of the Land Force Quebec Area Training Centre, the previous name of the unit.
