Symbolism

The Canadian Heraldic Authority does not have confirmed symbolism for this emblem. The following comments are hypotheses only. The sword possibly refers to the military career of Mr. Drury’s father, Charles William Drury, a Major-General in the Canadian Army. The colours of the arms and the spur rowels are features of other Drury arms.
