Arms of Sabine ChampagneBlazonAzure a rose of six petals Argent seeded Gules, a base embattled Or; SymbolismThe rose honours Ms. Champagne’s mother, Laurette Turmel, whose favourite flower it was. The six petals represent Ms. Champagne and her siblings. The gold base, known as a “champagne” in heraldry, is a pun on the family name. It is crenellated like the walls of an ancient castle to recall that the ancestor of the Canadian Lamberts dit Champagne settled at Château-Richer (château meaning “castle” in French), north of Quebec City. |
CrestBlazonA demi-sun in splendour Or charged with a dolmen proper bearing ermine spots Argent; SymbolismThe dolmen recalls the ancestral homeland of the Turmels, Brittany, in France, which is famous for its numerous and ancient megalithic structures. For Ms. Champagne, the sun represents faith and the radiance of knowledge. |
MottoBlazonAVANCE AVEC FOI; SymbolismThis expression meaning “Advance with faith” evokes the spirit of entrepreneurship of Ms. Champagne and her family. |
