EUROPE 1945; KOREA 1950-1953; in dexter chief, the Roman numerals “II” Or*; * A ribbon Azure inscribed KAPYONG in letters Argent is affixed to the staff by a laurel wreath Or; SymbolismAs an infantry regiment, the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry uses as its Regimental Colour a blue flag with a form of the regimental badge at its centre. The battle honours of the regiment are placed on laurel branches, which are symbols of victory. The number “II” represents the regiment’s 2nd Battalion. The blue ribbon is the United States Presidential Citation awarded to the 2nd Battalion for its role in the battle of Kapyong during the Korean War. |
