A bison Or preparing to charge across a plain Vert set with the Roman numerals "XII" Argent all above a scroll Gules edged and inscribed MANITOBA DRAGOONS in letters Argent;

Symbolism

The bison is a symbol of Manitoba and the regimental tradition has it charging across the plain ready for combat. The Roman numerals "XII" and the words "MANITOBA DRAGOONS" are a form of the regimental title.
