The fess represents a wall and thus symbolizes the defence of Canada. The three stars evoke other Reichle German arms, as well as airbursts of artillery shells. |

The hunting horn is based on the one in the badge of the North Saskatchewan Regiment in which he served. The cannonball makes another allusion to Mr. Reichle’s military service. |
