Red is a colour associated with the army, and blue with the navy and air force. The swords are a symbol of the armed forces. The white and red section recalls the colours of the National Flag of Canada, and the three red stripes represent the three elements – land, sea and air – of the Canadian Forces. They also suggest the columned portico of a bank building, a reference to the company’s role as an intermediary between military personnel and banks. |
