Azure the Badge cantoned by maple leaves and bulrushes Or and dogwood flowers proper;

Blue is a colour frequently associated with police forces. The dogwood flowers and maple leaves in the corners supplement those on the badge and further emphasize the department’s service to the province and the nation. Bulrushes symbolize the Corporation of Delta, which features them in its municipal logo.

The Arms of The Corporation of Delta (Vert a plate environed of a triangle voided of the field couped on each corner Argent) within an annulus Argent fimbriated and inscribed with the Motto in letters Vert, all within a wreath of maple leaves Or issuant from a Pacific dogwood flower and ensigned by the Royal Crown proper;

The design follows the basic pattern for Canadian municipal police badges. The shield of the municipality of Delta represents the community that the department serves, while the maple leaves and dogwood flower symbolize the department’s service to Canada and British Columbia respectively. The Royal Crown refers to the Delta Police Department’s commitment to uphold the Crown’s peace.
