On a square Or the star of life Azure, its rod of Aesculapius Or, environed of twelve mural coronets forming a square Azure, at each angle a trillium flower barbed and seeded proper;

Symbolism

The emblem of a blue cross with the Rod of Aesculapius is commonly used by emergency medical services. The trillium flowers represent Ontario, and the mural coronets, a traditional symbol of municipal government. Together, these symbols represent the leadership of paramedics providing pre-hospital medical care.
