Blazon

Azure a plate edged and surmounted by a compass rose Or charged with a fleur-de-lis Azure, on a base indented Argent two bars wavy Azure;

Symbolism

The compass rose recalls Louis Jolliet, the explorer and cartographer from whom the ship takes her name. The blue colour represents the St. Lawrence River. The seven peaks and the fleur-de-lis symbolize Sept-Îles, Quebec, the home of the ship.

Meaning literally “We burst through everything” or colloquially “Nothing can stop us”.
