Blazon

Azure between in chief two roses Argent and in base a rose Gules all barbed and seeded Or a table in profile surmounted by a carpenter’s square and a hatchet in saltire and ensigned by a pair of compasses Or;

Symbolism

The tools are those of a carpenter (joiner) to represent the occupation of Professor Stolarik’s ancestors when they acquired the surname of Stolarik in the 16th century. The three roses allude to the county of Turiec in central Slovakia, the residence of the family in the 1930s and 1940s.
