Or on a bend wavy Azure a bendlet wavy Argent the whole surmounted by a bow fesswise overall an arrow palewise point in chief Sable;

Symbolism

The gold is representative of the fertile grain fields of the area and the bend wavy indicative of the Bow River which flows through Calgary. The bow is in acknowledgment of the First Peoples of the area.
