    Governor General marks the State Visit of the President of Iceland with a series of events

    Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, and Mr. Whit Fraser hosted a series of events on May 29, 2023, as part of the State Visit of the Icelandic President Guðni Th. Jóhannesson and Ms. Eliza Reid.

    2023 Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards

    Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, presented the 2023 Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards (GGPAA) during a ceremony at Rideau Hall on May 26, 2023.

    Governor General invests 131 members of the Canadian Armed Forces into the Order of Military Merit

    Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, bestowed the honour on 6 Commanders (C.M.M.), 32 Officers (O.M.M.) and 93 Members (M.M.M.) of the Order of Military Merit at two investiture ceremonies at Rideau Hall.
