A lawyer and industrial relations counsellor, Richard Levesque has been volunteering with the Centre d'action bénévole de Québec since 2008, where he provides training on the role and powers of the directors, duties and responsibilities, and strategic planning. He first began volunteering in 1964. He represented his university's student association, and then went on to help found the Maison de la Famille Louis-Hébert, an organization that helps individuals, couples and families to overcome difficulties. In 2010, he was a legal committee member of three organizations: Les Jardins du Haut Saint-Laurent, Côté-Jardin, and Manoir St-Amand. In 2011, he was a member of the stakeholders' committee, working to combat elder abuse in the Capitale-Nationale region.
