He has been in the vanguard of innovative programs to improve opportunities and living conditions for the disabled in several Canadian centres, most recently in Dawson Creek where he is President of the Obair Economic Society which is mandated to train learning disabled and illiterate adults in both basic literacy and computer skills. His abilities as a community development animator have contributed much towards stimulating others to become involved in social service activities.
