He is a physician and Professor Emeritus at the University of Western Ontario, whose innovative leadership in medical education led to the creation of the first academic department dedicated to family medicine. He was instrumental in the founding of the Westminster Institute for Ethics and Human Values and the London InterCommunity Health Centre. His commitment and dedication to health care and community service have earned him the admiration of his fellow citizens.
