Since 1965 this distinguished cardiologist has worked for the Montreal Heart Institute, where he was the first to direct its research centre. He has contributed considerably to the international recognition of the Institute and to advances in medicine through his activities as the centre's director, his teaching at the University of Montreal and his many studies and publications.
