A former Lieutenant-Governor of Manitoba and a successful independent businessman, he has selflessly donated his time, financial resources and efforts to many worthy causes. He has generously contributed to all sectors of the Winnipeg community, from sports and education to health care and the arts, including such organizations as the Winnipeg Blue Bombers Football Club and the Manitoba Museum of Man and Nature.
