He is a respected member of the Vancouver community, a successful lawyer who became the first Chinese Canadian Member of Parliament and represented Canada at the United Nations. With diplomacy and determination, he has brought many benefits to all Canadians and has done much to build a bridge between Canada and the Pacific Rim countries.
