For many years and in many ways she has provided excellent leadership in the improvement of educational services for handicapped children and youth in the Maritime provinces, particularly in Prince Edward Island. Her untiring work in the Canadian Mental Health Association and many professional organizations and committees has resulted in increased understanding of the needs of exceptional children as well as improved services and instruction.
