This renowned ophthalmologist has acquired a solid reputation not only for his work as a practitioner and professor but also for his unique research in ocular disease. Head of the Department of Ophthalmology at Laval University and Director of the Ophthalmology Department at the Laval University Hospital Centre for several years, he is a former President of the Canadian Ophthalmological Society and a founding member of the Retina Society and of the "Fondation de la recherche sur les maladies de l'oeil".
