For many years, she has campaigned vigorously for a number of Jewish causes in Montreal and received an award from Israel for her efforts in support of social development there. She is well known for Hope and Cope, a support programme of international fame, which she founded for cancer patients and their families at the Jewish General Hospital, Montreal.
