One of the original founders of "Families for Children", Naomi Bronstein went on to open an in-country care centre and permanent children's village for abandoned and undernourished children in Guatemala. In 1981 she returned to Ottawa and is now operating "Heal the Children Canada" through which she brings seriously ill children from Third World countries to Canadian hospitals for medical treatment unavailable at home.
