Currently parish priest of Sainte-Blandine; the former Rector of the University of Quebec at Rimouski has made an outstanding contribution to the intellectual, cultural, economic and social life of the Lower St. Lawrence and Gaspé regions, most notably by promoting the development of higher education in his capacity as a founder of and key figure at the Université du Québec à Rimouski.
