Born in Québec City, Mr. Webster attended Lower Canada College in Montreal, McGill University, and Babson College in Boston, Massachusetts. A successful businessman, he has been chairman and president of several companies, including Imperial Trust and the Globe and Mail, and a director of many others. His philanthropy is legend: he has contributed to literally hundreds of charitable causes, hospitals, educational institutions across the country, and projects of historic interest, either directly or through the RHW Foundation.
