Since the Second World War, Mr. Spittael, a Belgian citizen, has provided exceptional humanitarian service for Canadian families, by researching and documenting the grave sites of military personnel buried overseas during both World Wars. His efforts have brought peace of mind to many families. Now in his sixties, Mr. Spittael continues to guide Canadians to various cemeteries and battlefields of Europe.
