Teacher Mark Veldhuis has ensured Canada’s military contributions in the Netherlands are never forgotten. He initiated Give Every Stone a Story, for which local students conduct research on soldiers buried in the Holten Canadian War Cemetery. The students also participate in exchanges with Canadian schools and engage with soldiers’ families.
