Their Excellencies the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, and Mr. Whit Fraser participated in the Canada Day daytime ceremony on LeBreton Flats, in Ottawa.
Their Excellencies began the day by participating in an Indigenous Reflection ceremony, which included teachings from First Nations, Inuit and Métis Elders. After, the Governor General delivered remarks at the daytime ceremony.
