December 16, 2014 - The Governor General received letters of credence from four new ambassadors from Russia, Guinea, Ecuador and Monaco.
2014 Pearson Peace Medal
December 11, 2014 - The Governor General, who is also honorary patron of the United Nations Association in Canada, presented the 28th Pearson Peace Medal to Mr. Nigel Fisher during a ceremony at Rideau Hall.
Funeral of Jean Béliveau
December 10, 2014 - His Excellency attended the funeral of hockey legend Mr. Jean Béliveau. The ceremony was held at Mary Queen of the World Cathedral, in Montréal.
December 9, 2014 - The Governor General presided the official administering of the Oath of Citizenship and conferring of citizenship certificates to 49 new Canadians from 34 countries. The event took place at Rideau Hall.
