Military Tattoo

March to the beat of our drums at
The Governor General and Commander-in-Chief’s Military Tattoo

Saturday, May 14, 2016, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Open to the public / Free admission

Hundreds of members of the Ceremonial Guard paraded on the grounds of Rideau Hall. The Governor General inspects the Ceremonial Guard. Members of the Ceremonial Guard play brass instruments.

Come to Rideau Hall for an afternoon of music, marching, pageantry and precision at the Governor General and Commander-in-Chief’s Military Tattoo.

The event will take place outside, on the grass—please dress accordingly. In the case of severe weather, the event may be modified or cancelled. There will be limited seating available; please feel free to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Please enter the grounds via the Thomas or Mackay pedestrian gates.

Parking
Parking is available on neighbouring streets. For people with mobility restrictions limited parking will be available on-site via Princess Gate.

This event is presented in collaboration with the Canadian Armed Forces and will feature these elements:

  • The Royal Military College
  • The Governor General’s Horse Guards
  • The Governor General’s Foot Guards and Band
  • The Canadian Grenadier Guards
  • The Central Band of the Canadian Armed Forces
