Order of Canada Investiture Ceremony

His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will preside over an Order of Canada investiture ceremony at Rideau Hall, on Friday, February 17, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. The Governor General, who is chancellor and Principal Companion of the Order, will bestow the honour on 3 Companions, 11 Officers and 28 Members.

The ceremony will also mark the official release of the book They Desire a Better Country: The Order of Canada in 50 Stories, a collection of inspiring stories celebrating the 50th anniversary of the creation of the Order.
